Roślina trwała. Użytkuje się szczypior. Wysiew w kwietniu do inspektu lub na rozsadniku. Wysadzanie rozsady do gruntu w czerwcu. Można siać wprost do gruntu od wiosny do połowy lipca w rzędzie co 30 cm, następnie przerwać co 20 cm. Roślina wieloletnia, mrozoodporna, pozostająca na jednym miejscu przez 4-5 lat. Zgrubienia białe przechodzące w zielony. Soczysty i delikatny szczypior, który w pierwszym roku uprawy otrzymujemy latem, zaś w latach następnych już od wczesnej wiosny. Odmiana polecana do uprawy pęczkowej.

Welsh Onion 'BAJKAL'
A perennial plant grown for its leaves (scallions). Sow in April in a cold frame or nursery bed. Transplant seedlings into the ground in June. Alternatively, seeds can be sown directly into the ground from spring until mid-July in rows spaced 30 cm apart, then thinned to a spacing of 20 cm. This is a frost-hardy perennial plant that remains productive in the same location for 4–5 years. The bulbs are white, transitioning to green at the stem base. The leaves are juicy and tender; in the first year of cultivation, they are ready for harvest in the summer, while in subsequent years, they can be harvested starting from early spring. This variety is recommended for bunching cultivation.
