Roślina jednoroczna o krzaczastym pokroju, ma grube, silnie rozgałęzione pędy, z pachnącymi liśćmi. Koszyczki kwiatowe o różnej budowie, osadzone pojedynczo na końcach szypułek. Dobrze rośnie na każdej, dostatecznie wilgotnej glebie ogrodowej. Kwiaty o budowie dachówkowatej, średnicy 8 cm, słomkowożółte. Nasiona wysiewamy od kwietnia do czerwca prosto do gruntu, natomiast kwitnie od czerwca do późnej jesieni.

An annual plant with a bushy habit, featuring thick, heavily branched stems and fragrant leaves. The flower heads vary in structure and are borne singly at the tips of the stalks. It thrives in any sufficiently moist garden soil. The flowers have a tiled structure, measure 8 cm in diameter, and are straw-yellow in color. Seeds are sown directly into the ground from April to June; the plant blooms from June until late autumn.
